The standard manufacturing process of casting includes using sand to form a shape. After melting the metal, it gets poured into the sand mold, then cooled, and once it has solidified, the sand must be removed from the metal. The strength of the sand is not enough for the sand to be suitable for casting. The sand must be fire resistant, breathable, and have elasticity to it.
